Romantic in the classic maritime sense, the Grand Banks 46 Heritage EU featured a spacious deck house that opened aft to a covered deck. The design was a trademark of the Europa style, providing a graceful extension to the salon area.
One of the distinctive features of the 46EU was a flybridge that extended over the side decks. The result was an attractive, safe-from-the-weather steering and navigational station. At anchor or at dockside, a teak-crafted door slid open, providing a direct connection from the salon to the roomy, aft deck space.
With a standard cruising speed of 16 knots, and top speed of 21 knots, this model was capable of going the distance.
