As with all of the Eastbay line, the quality of the Grand Banks Yachts manufacturing was evident. The hull of the 58 Eastbay Flybridge Sedan was solid fiberglass below the chine and cored with vacuum-bagged PVC foam in the topsides. A smooth ride and exceptional performance was always guaranteed with the authentic Hunt hull design. The standard engine package of twin 800 h.p. CAT 3406E’s offered cruising speeds of 23 knots and top speed of 27 knots. For those interested in faster cruising, the 58 Eastbay Flybridge Sedan had an optional engine package: CAT 3412’s rated at 1400 h.p. This provided a fast, smooth cruise at 30 knots with a top speed of 35 knots. As one admired the profile of the 58 Eastbay Flybridge Sedan an elegant and functional design element immediately caught the eye. The commanding lanai deck led to a generous, integrated, spiral staircase that curved gently from the cockpit up to the spacious flybridge. Teak decking in the cockpit was standard with walk-in engine room access via a Freeman® watertight door. Ample side decks leading forward were low maintenance Awlgrip® painted. Stidd® helm seats were standard equipment on the flybridge and lower helm. 24 volt DC electrical service and high capacity generator was standard with the convenient Glendinning® shore cord retractor being part of the package. The fine details of the 58 Eastbay Flybridge Sedan continued upon entering the main salon. It is here that the Grand Banks luxury and practicality were most evident. Interior design concepts by noted marine and aircraft designer Patrick Knowles, resulted in an Eastbay interior of great elegance and comfort which, at the same time, respected the Grand Banks heritage. Guests enjoyed the excellent 360° visibility from the salon that included a fully glazed, sliding Freeman® aft salon door. To enhance the warmth and ambiance, a Bose® sound system was installed throughout the boat. The 58 Eastbay Flybridge Sedan standard layout included a spacious master cabin with island berth and en suite head, 2 accommodating guest cabins with shared head, and an efficient down galley. An optional layout offered a fourth cabin or office and galley up. Stacked washer and dryer was standard equipment. |
